Wollastonite ores of triclinic crystalline system have very noticeable acicular and long fiber structures. Our special processing technique enables the retention of this unique acicular structure and the production of high slenderness ratio acicular wollastonite powder。

As wollastonite is natural, nontoxic, odorless and radiation free, high slenderness ratio acicular wollastonite powder from long fiber wollastonite ores has become a new environment-friend building material as a substitute for short fiber asbestos or short fiber glass fiber that is harmful to the human body. Presently it is widely applied to calcium silicate board, fiber cement products, sound absorbing board and new multifunctional composite fireproofing sheeting. Calcium silicate board and fireproofing sheeting incorporating acicular wollastonite powder provide much higher impact, flexural and wear strengths and are widely used in Japan, South Korea, Mainland China and Taiwan。
